Terms of Use
Last updated 20 October 2026
These terms cover your use of the DopeStudy website, its API and the DopeStudy Anki add-on (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What DopeStudy is
DopeStudy is a platform for sharing Anki decks for NEET PG and INI-CET preparation. Users upload decks, others subscribe to them, and the community suggests changes that the deck owner and maintainers review before they reach subscribers. Works with Anki®. DopeStudy is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Ankitects Pty Ltd.
2. Educational use only, not medical advice
Cards are study aids written by students and reviewed by volunteers. They may contain errors or become outdated. Do not use them to make clinical decisions. Always check doses, cut-offs and guidelines against current standard references.
3. Your account
- You sign in with Google or a phone OTP. Keep access to that account secure. You are responsible for what is done through it.
- One person per account. Do not share accounts or add-on link codes.
- You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian’s consent to use the Service.
4. Contributor licence
You keep ownership of what you write. When you submit a suggestion, new card, comment, flag or image (“Contribution”), you grant DopeStudy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to:
- use, reproduce, adapt, edit, translate and combine it with other content;
- publish and distribute it as part of the deck, on the website, through the API and the add-on, and in any future free or paid version of the Service; and
- sublicense these rights to users of the Service so they can study with, copy and sync the deck.
The deck’s version history records who wrote each change. This licence continues after you delete your account, because removing approved edits would damage other students’ decks. Your name can be removed from them on request (see the Privacy Policy).
By submitting a Contribution you confirm that:
- it is in your own words, or you have the right to license it on these terms;
- it does not copy text, images, screenshots or questions from coaching platforms, question banks or textbooks;
- its cited source is accurate; and
- it follows the Content Policy.
5. Uploading decks
- Only upload decks you made yourself, or that you have permission to share. Do not upload decks copied from coaching platforms, paid courses or other people’s decks without their permission.
- Uploading a deck counts as a Contribution under section 4 for every note in it.
- Decks are private until you share them. A deck is listed publicly only after an admin approves it, and approval does not mean we have checked every note.
- As a deck owner you are responsible for reviewing what goes into your deck. We may unlist or remove any deck that breaks these terms or the Content Policy.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not submit infringing, false, misleading, abusive or spam content.
- Do not try to get around review, impersonate maintainers, or manipulate the leaderboard.
- Do not scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the API beyond normal use of the add-on.
- Do not use the Service to break any law in force in India.
7. Moderation
Maintainers and admins may approve, edit, reject, roll back or remove any content. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Report problems or copyright concerns to [email protected].
8. Paid plans
The Service is free at present. If paid plans are introduced, their price and terms will be shown before you buy. Contributions already made stay under the licence in section 4.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, DopeStudy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for exam results, arising from your use of the Service. In any case, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will post the new version here. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
